I have a Samsung TV that I purchased from Best Buy and purchased the 5 year replacement warranty. This Best Buy wanted to send it off for 2+ weeks to see if it can be repaired. This is no more than the factory warranty. After speaking with other Best Buys and the corporate office, I was told I did purchase the replacement warranty and the store should replace the tv at the store. Management "Sophie" refused to follow Best Buy procedure and stand by the warranty. As you may notice in their advertisements they sell replacement warranty "walk in walk out with a new properly functioning product". This store DOES NOT stand by the ad or agreement. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!!
The only reason I am giving this location 2 stars is for the responsiveness and great personality of the manager. I can not remember her name but she did her best to fix my issue. I will first start off by saying that the staff should know about the extra cost associated with products such as radio installation. From my personal experience I purchased a radio from this location and was told it would be free installation. One big issue is that the radio kit for my car was not in stock and I was told it would be there by late Saturday for installation on Sunday. So I set the appointment for Sunday. On that Saturday I received an email that I had an appointment. I was confused because I was told that the parts to install my radio in my car would not be available for installation on Saturday. So I called only to keep getting the run around about what was going on and the installation person was not in (not his fault but they still should be able to view appointments). Long story short I called Sunday, the day of my appointment for installation only to be told that I did not have an appointment on that date. They then told me that I could go to another location so I did only to be told that I had to pay some additional fee's. The fees were refunded by the store manager the following day but the hassle of having to drive from Knightdale to Cary (on a day I had to work) and then be told that the cost I originally thought I had to pay had increased and then back to Knightdale to get a refund for an unexpected charge was ridiculous and unacceptable to say the least. To say I was very disappointed was an understatement.
The Geek Squad delivery guys, Marcus and Chip, were super-helpful. We didn't have to lift a finger. They took care of everything. Overall, we are exceedingly pleased with our purchase. Everyone we dealt with, from the GM to the delivery guys, were professional and helpful.
We had a little crisis at our house on Saturday; our fifteen year-old refrigerator stopped working. We went to several appliance stores in Knightdale, NC, but they all told us that it would be 4 to 5 days before they could deliver it. However, at Best Buy, they had the exact same refrigerator we were looking at at the other stores, it was $100 cheaper, they had free delivery, and the Curtis, the General Manager, told us he could have it delivered in three days. We explained to Curtis that our old refrigerator just died, and we really need the new one quickly. He said he would try to get it delivered Sunday or Monday.
Purchased a laptop online over a week ago. Online confirmation said it would be ready in 45 minutes. Not only was it not ready then, I still don’t have it now! Call the customer service number and they said, oh it’s on back order, I’m like really, no one told me. Not to mention, the female customer service representative was rude! I bought the laptop for my son who leaves for college next week but now we have to go looking for another one.
Today (Sunday) I got a call from the delivery guys asking if they could deliver it today! They were at the house 30 minutes later, and we were able to save everything in our freezer!
I went in this store a few weeks ago to purchase a new headset for my gaming setup and all the employees follow you around the store and act like you are stealing their cheap Chinese junk. It is very unprofessional and gives for an unpleasant experience. The people at the door think they are above all power and too good to be working there. Do NOT waste your time here.
