This has to be the worst Dr office. Spent two weeks waiting on this place to send a refural over to a specialist, several phone calls to the office. And still waiting. What a joke. Extremely disappointed.
It would be tragic not to mention the staff at Knightdale Family Medicine as well! The employees at the desks always have a smile for you and they're unfailingly polite. The nurses all seem to be very happy and are personable and (as one other review mentioned) they have a great sense of humor. Even the phlebotomists are fabulous (and very gentle).
I've had a ton of horrible doctors (one even wrote up an entire exercise routine for me........didn't bother to look at my chart that shows regular exercise is pretty much impossible for me!). I've had very few good doctors and, in my opinion, Knightdale Family Medicine and Dr Adams is at the top. By a pretty big margin, too.
He is only Part Time now.
I've been with Dr Adams now for a few years and I've gotta say, he is by far the best doctor I've had in my adult years. Most doctors I see lately always seem to be running from room to room, under pressure to see as many patients as possible in the shortest time possible. They rush in, poke and prod a few times, write a script, and move on to the next..........pretty much assembly line health care.
I'm shocked that there are even bad reviews here. Maybe the wait time has increased because they were voted best in the Triangle and have more patients. I have had nothing but positive experiences with their office. Dr. Adams takes time to listen and is up to date on the latest treatments. He's very smart and is easy to talk to. I love "country doctor with 21st century way of thinking." His office staff has always been friendly and also seem well informed. The only time I've had to wait was during flu season when everyone in Wake County was sick. I'd recommend him to anyone.
Dr Adams is different. He's personable and friendly. I don't know if he actually remembers all his patient's names, but at minimum he takes a moment before coming in the room to look at the chart and get your name (I have a suspicion he does actually remember many names). Dr Adams actually seems to care about his patients. He takes time to talk to them. He LISTENS to them and proves he's listening by asking questions back. Most importantly, he could be the busiest person on the planet but he would never, EVER seem to be in a hurry! He always takes the time to sit back, put down his pen, stop typing on his laptop, look me in the eyes, and have a discussion. Even better, the man is SMART! He definitely knows what he's doing! It's plainly obvious he is passionate about what he's doing.
Dr Adams has been my healthcare provider for over 5 years. He loves what he does and it shows in the way he cares for his patients. He works with his patients to help them set goals that will help improve their overall health. He stresses a healthy diet and exercise over medication whenever possible. I have always been treated well by all of his staff.
